Download and install in three steps
Use the official installer for GstarCAD. Keep your internet connection available while setup downloads the required components.

Download the installer
Click Download above and save the GstarCAD installer from the developer’s site.

Complete installation
Close GstarCAD, run the saved installer and allow the additional download and installation windows to finish.

Open GstarCAD
Start GstarCAD and wait for the SDBOX ribbon or menu. In your drawing, select Load SDBOX to enable the commands.

The developer lists these requirements for the GstarCAD trial:
- Windows 10 or Windows 11.
- Full GstarCAD 2021 or later; Light and Standard editions are excluded for full functionality.
- Approximately 3 GB of free space on drive C: for supporting files.
- Internet access during installation to download additional components.

GETTING STARTED
Open the SDBOX menu
Wait for the SDBOX ribbon or =sdbox= menu in GstarCAD. Choose Load SDBOX for each drawing where you want its commands.

If setup opens a DWG in the wrong application, close it and open GstarCAD. Use APPLOAD to load C:\sdbox_Tools\_CADsdbox.lsp as instructed by the developer.
Common download questions
How long can I try SDBOX?
The SDBox developer currently provides a 30-day trial. You can evaluate the SDBOX workflow inside a compatible GstarCAD installation.
Do I need another installer after purchase?
No. According to the developer, the existing trial installation can be activated with the purchased licence.
What if installation stops while downloading files?
The developer says you can open the SDBOX installation folder and run zzDownloadZips.exe to complete interrupted auxiliary downloads. See the official installation guide for details.
